Patron of the Destitute is an exploration of economic apocalypse – the quiet, grinding ruin that follows the sword and the fire. Inspired by the 11th-century Saint-Sever Beatus, this piece captures the Horseman, a somber administrator of lack, bringing the scales of scarcity and presiding over a world where basic sustenance has become a luxury. It is a chilling meditation on prolonged pressure and the structural collapse of human security.

This premium canvas is rendered with a focus on earthy, somber tones and the heavy, symbolic linework characteristic of the Beatus manuscripts.
